How Therapy Works with Us

You begin by completing a short matching inquiry. We review your needs, preferences, time zone, and availability, then suggest a therapist who may be well aligned with your context. We share payment details, an agreement laying out the parameters of our work, ask a few questions to be better prepared for our time together, and explain how to join the session.

Our team reviews every submission with care and will respond within 48 hours outside of Sunday. It's that easy.

Teens

Supporting dual-cultural teens as they define their identity within the context of family, ambition, and belonging.

Primary Areas of Service

Outside of our work with organizations, our focus falls to three main areas. Working with teens, adults, and family therapy. The latter speaks to partner work and may include other members within your family - as required.

Adult Individuals

A space to process all that life throws your way. Grief, relationships, trauma, and what comes up as you attempt to live with less pain and more truth.

Multi Member Work

Healing relational dynamics to better serve those involved. From best practices, to processing - keeping in mind where you are coming from and where you want to go.

The Matching Ethos

Our matching process is a relational and ethical exercise, designed to find a space where your needs and our clinical standards meet.

At Desi Therapy, we don't just match you with a therapist; we align you with a clinical culture. Our process is guided by Faraz’s philosophy and standards around mental health, ensuring that every recommendation is filtered through a lens of care, ethics, and emotional intelligence.

Relational Focus

We prioritize a relational approach that honors the complexity of South Asian identity and the inherited expectations that shape our lives.

Founder-Led Standards

Every team member is selected and aligned with our shared values of presence, community, and clinical leadership.

Thoughtful Matching

We review your information carefully to suggest a practitioner who may best serve your needs and preferences.
